Ceres is a sensual, dangerously fatal, and powerful Tennyo. She shows no emotion in killing anyone. Her only purpose and goal is to seek revenge on the Mikage family for her suffering and pain endured from Shisu. Also on her agenda is finding her fabled robe to return to heaven. Little can be done to stop her from achieving her goals.

Ceres has incredible power that she uses when trying to get her fabled robe back. Due to Shisu's forceful manner of preventing her from returning to heaven she returns in the bodies of every generation of Mikage daughters on their 16th birthday. This ability though has resulted in everyone she possesed in the past being killed, and for Aya that same fate may or may not be any different. Because of this Ceres still has not been able to get her robe back.

The Mikage family wants Aya dead to protect the family lineage while others want Aya to help create a perfect human race. Ceres on the other hand has one entirely different goal...getting her robe back. She uses her powers to control Aya in order to get what she wants regardless of who she hurts. Destroying the Mikage lineage happens to be part of that goal as well.

Aya doesn't seem to remember what happens when Ceres possesses her with her powers. Ceres first informally appears when Aya destroys the decayed hand of a Mikage family member at her grandfather's on her 16th birthday. Her formal appearance is when she possesses Aya after her mother attempts to kill her under the belief that Aya killed her father. Another encounter with Ceres is when Aki escapes the Mikage house in search of Aya. Ceres attempts to strangle Aki, but Aki is saved by Tooya and returned to the main house of Kagami.

As the story progresses Aya falls deeper in love with Tooya forcing Ceres to learn the meaning of true love. When the Mikage family learn of the true reason for Ceres' return to Earth Ceres reveals her love for Shisu as well as how the past led to the future.
